Mud Bath

Any visit to the city would not be completed until you have spent at least half a day at one of our three famous mud bath resorts. Visiting Local Markets

Local markets in Nha Trang are great places for travelers to pick up gifts and souvenirs, as well as other products that they may need on their journey. Yersin became synonymous with the famous Pasteur Institute that establishes branches in Ho Chi Minh, Ha Noi, Da Lat and Nha Trang. Yersin Museum is totally worth a visit to discover a life well lived and an impressive human being that contributed greatly to mankind.

Traditional Folk Dance

Suoi Ba Ho Waterfall

About 23km north of Nha Trang, Suoi Ba Ho means Three Pool Stream in English. The first kilometer paces the stream through dense jungle. However, it is important to note that, although the hike up is initially an easy stroll, but then it will turn into a scramble over large boulders that sees only the very fit making it up to the third and highest pool.

Oceanographic Institute

This wonderfully designed institute comes with an extremely wide variety of exotic sea-life in aquariums and ponds. At Oceanographic Institute, you can find different sea mammals as well as a picturesque view of Nha Trang Seaport. Po Nagar Cham Towers

Built between the 7th and 12th centuries, these four Cham Towers are still actively used for worship by Cham, ethnic Chinese and Vietnamese Buddhists. The 28-meter-high North Tower (Thap Chinh) with its terraced pyramidal roof, vaulted interior masonry and vestibule is the most magnificent. All of the temples face east, which is to the right as you ascend the hillock. In centuries past, worshippers used to pass through the pillared meditation hall before proceeding up the steep staircase to the towers.

Chong Promontory Rocks

Hundreds of boulders balance upon each other at this multi-purpose site of great folklore and intrigue. With a giant hand print embedded into the main rock, the mysteries of its origin enthrall visitors and locals alike, while the setting also offers terrific opportunities to swim, climb and merely take in the beautiful view of the ocean and coastline.

Nha Trang Cathedral

Sits proudly atop a large hill close to the beach and in the center of the bustling streets, Nha Trang Cathedral would impress all visitors with its beautiful architecture and gorgeous view of the city. Regardless of religious belief, the Cathedral is certainly a spectacular attraction with its beautiful walkways, large pillars and detailed, stained-glass windows.

Long Son Pagoda

Long Son Pagoda was first built on Mount Trai Thuy in 1886 and named Dang Long Pagoda. In 1990, however, it was damaged in a storm, and then got rebuilt down the mountain to its present location on Thai Nguyen Street. The entrance and roofs are decorated with mosaic dragons constructed of glass and ceramic tile while the main sanctuary is a hall adorned with modern interpretations of traditional motifs. Long Son Pagoda is dedicated to Buddhist monks and nuns who set themselves on fires to protest Diem regime. On the hilltop behind the pagoda, there is a huge Buddha seated on a blossoming lotus that stands for the symbol of perfection and purity.

Banh Canh (Thick Noodle Soup)

Banh Canh is a seafood noodle soup that is based on fish and fish cakes. Served hot in a large bowl together with a Banh Mi (bread roll), it is a real treat that is usually served as breakfast or dinner. Mackerel, the most highly prized fish in these parts, is the type of fishes that is most commonly used in Banh Canh, coupled with pieces of minced fish cake. The soup in Banh Canh is accompanied by a unique sauce of Nha Trang that is based on sweetened fish sauce and hot chili.

Nem Nuong (Grilled Fermented Pork Roll)

We simply cannot forget grilled fermented pork roll (nem nướng) or fermented pork roll (nem chua) when talking about cuisines in Nha Trang. Most tourists in Nha Trang would enjoy nem nướng on the spot and buy nem chua as a gift for family and friends back home. Grilled directly with the fire of coal brazier, fermented pork roll is served with raw herbs as well as dipping sauce with pickled green papaya.

Bun Thit Nuong (Vietnamese Grilled Pork & Rice Noodles)

Bun Thit Nuong is not as common as some of the soup noodles, but you can easily find it on the streets around Xom Moi market. It is a cold dish based on white vermicelli noodles, grilled marinated pork, spring rolls, shredded lettuce, peanuts, sprouts, cucumber and fresh herbs. The pork and spring rolls are cut into small pieces and the dish is accompanied with nước chấm - a tasty dipping sauce.

Mi Quang (Quang Style Noodle)

Based on a yellow, thich noodle, Mì Quảng is named after Quang Nam Province where it is originated and known as a breakfast or dinner dish. Mi Quang is a mixture of shrimp, pork, and fish paste combined with either meat or bone based broth. The rich flavor of Mi Quang is a combination of fish sauce, black pepper, garlic, peanuts, pork and several leafy herbs that are frequently used in Vietnamese cuisine.
